Quinta da Oliveira started twenty-three years ago with almond, carob, medronheiro trees and a few olive trees approximately five-hundred years of age. Two years later, sixty-five aged olive trees were introduced. Twelve years later one-thousand-five-hundred olive trees were added to expand the olive oil business. From the day Quinta da Oliveira started, no chemicals have been introduced to the olive trees. Quinta da Oliveira grows Galega and Massanhila 100% biologique olive trees. Every olive is picked by hand and immediately, within twenty-four hours, undergoes processing.
